Sound unit MOSAIC.WAV
MOSAIC.WAV is a sound unit that provides theme songs for animation series as well as multiple computer and cellphone games in Japan. Animated introductions for computer games are also provided by the MOSAIC.MOV division.
Songs are created under the banner of "AKIBA-POP", a musical genre which was pioneered by MOSAIC.WAV. It is closely related to "denpa", a writing style which injects a strong component of controlled chaos in many of their compositions. The inspiration comes almost exclusively from the famous Akihabara district and its excessive lifestyle dominated by video games, anime, electronic gadgets and other offbeat elements. Thus, the generated music is energetic and diverse, contains unconventional yet heartening lyrical subjects and aims for a unique and accurate representation of the Akihabara state of mind.
We are currently putting a lot of emphasis on concerts and public appearances. One of our future goals is to spread the AKIBA-POP message on an international level!
SOUND BIOGRAPHY DISCOGRAPHY
MOSAIC.WAV is a duo that consists of miiko on vocals and Susumu Kayamori on keyboard at its core. However, multiple collaborators regularly contribute to the unit.
Masaya Koike frequently accompanies them on guitar for live events, as well as composes and arranges a number of their newest songs.
Since their inception in early 2003, they have been creating music using "We love AKIBA-POP!" as a maxim and driving force. Their unique "denpa" sound combined with various Akihabara-related themes has been gaining momentum not just in Japan, but all over the world.
Thanks to their incomparable theme songs, dynamic stage presence and numerous original character creations, MOSAIC.WAV have taken the gaming and animation world by storm!

Special Skills There was a time when I could instantly perform any anime theme song! Not so much these days, since I spend a lot of time working on MOSAIC.WAV material and can't keep up with all the new series. You could say that my knowledge of anime songs released before the year 2000 is a special skill, somehow!
